Style Stage's Headhunter College Tour: Tampa

We hit Tampa for day two of our search for the perfect hosts for our new show.

Our second stop on the hunt for two hosts to front Noisey's new Headhunter show took us to USF Tampa. Just like in Miami, we were looking for college kids who know a bunch about music and whose personal style is innate, the prize being, one guy and one girl will be sent round music festivals this summer to talk to festival goers about music, hair and style.

Turns out USF Tampa was hosting “Bullstock”, the college's version of a mini-Woodstock, but before we turned our attention to the bands, it was time to sift through the hopefuls. We arrived to find there was already a group of girls waiting patiently. And they'd driven an hour and a half to see us. Dedicated.

Unfortunately, despite the warm reception, the weather didn't hold out. Rain spotted the afternoon and many of the hairstyles devolved into wet mops. Luckily the stylist on-bus was able to inject a little life into their hair before they stepped through our casting studio doors.

To see who's auditioned already go to Noisey.com/Headhunter. And if you missed the bus, you can either submit your video audition online—or encourage a friend to—or just vote for the submissions you like best. We'll be announcing the results in May.

Style Stage is an ongoing partnership between Noisey & Garnier Fructis celebrating music, hair, and style.
