We Know Nothing About Rage On Gold But Here's Their Video "Kick Flips"

They're a mystery, but they do like hashtags.

In this age of overshare I understand that people like to try and retain a little bit of mystery, but it's super annoying when you have to write up a premiere of a video and you know zilch about the artist. This is all I've got: Rage on Gold are a trio—two boys and a girl—and they dropped this, their first song eleven days ago.

We can ascertain from their soundcloud hastags that they're probably from east London, but then again their hashtags include #ryangosling, #titties, and #hashtags, so it seems likely they're just hastagging for LOLS. Also, I'd place a significant bet that the singer does not know how to pull off a kickflip—mostly because the song is called "Kick Flips" and not "Kickflips." If she does, then mega props because I tried to ollie last week and fell flat on my ass and tore the elbows on my new shirt.

As for the video—it's all "found" footage while the song can best be described as zippy, with a sassy melody as delicious as a mouth full of Pop Rocks, meanwhile the bassline makes me think CSS meets New Young Pony Club. It's unabashedly pop and utterly addictive.

Kim continues to try and skateboard even though every time she tries something bad happens. She's on Twitter - @theKTB
