Beyoncé zdominowała nominacje do Grammy 2017

Ujawniono nominowanych do nagród Grammy i jak można było się spodziewać, lista odzwierciedla rok zdominowany przez popową wagę ciężką z "Lemonade" Beyoncé, "ANTI" Rihanny, "25" Adele i "Purpose" Justina Biebera (nominacje przyznawane są za okres: 1.10.2015-30.09.2016).

Beyoncé zjada resztę ze swoimi dziewięcioma nominacjami, wśród których znajdują się te za Nagranie roku i Piosenkę roku ("Formation") oraz Album roku ("Lemonade"). Zaraz za jej plecami znaleźli się Drake, Rihanna i Kanye West, którzy pretendują do statuetki w ośmiu kategoriach.

Chance the Rapper otrzymał siedem nominacji, m.in. dla Najlepszego młodego artysty oraz za Najlepszy rapowy album ("Coloring Book"). Artyści Noisey Next, Anderson .Paak, Gallant i Maren Morris to świeżaki, którzy dołączają do walki o statuetki. Anderson zgarnął nominacje dla Najlepszego młodego artysty oraz Best Urban Contemporary Album ("Malibu"), podobnie jak Gallant za "Ollogy". Morris w sumie dostał cztery nominacje: Najlepszy młody artysta, Najlepszy album country ("Hero"), Najlepsza piosenka country i Najlepsze solowe wykonanie country ("My Church").

Warta zapamiętania jest również nominacja Solange do Best R&B Performance za "Cranes in the Sky" oraz ta dla D.R.A.M. i Lil Yachty'ego za ich wspólne "Broccoli" w kategorii Best Rap/Sung Performance.
