We Are Feeling Dream Machines's Video for "Feel It" and Now You Can Feel It Too

Teleportation? Check. Resurrections? Check. Dancing in luscious silk shirts? Check, baby.

For the most part, thinking about the future in 2017 sucks—a Sisyphean slog against existential dread smacking you back down with the ping of each news alert on your phone.

Today, however, LA's Dream Machines are here to tell you to heck with all that. "Feel It," the title track from the dance-soul outfit's new 7-inch, is a loaded celebration of uncertainty, reminding through the tried and true medium of saucy dance jams that it's still up to us to make the best of all the dreck.

"Feel It,' to me, is a song about harnessing both the excitement and anxiety about the future and using those feelings as earnestly and as positively as you can," says vocalist Harry May Kline, whose formidable pop wail anchors the tune alongside a wall of synths and drums.

The track and its accompanying video, directed by Liz Nistico of Holychild, is a cut of retro-future absurdity and bombast that feels like an heir to the video and vibes of Beck's "Sexx Laws." Teleportation? Check. Puppet friends? Check. The resurrection of a dead sax soloist? Check. Dancing in luscious silk shirts? Check, baby.

"The visuals represent one wandering through life," Nistico says. "You see the cyclical nature of relationships at the beginning, a funeral in the middle, a resurrection later, and general chaos that occurs at all times. It was so much fun to put together something that fit the song and I'm really happy with what we've come up with together!

Please kindly feel the premiere of Dream Machines's "Feel It" video below, and get down at their live show at the Troubadour in LA on June 30.
