Hear Cody Jinks Cover Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here”

In light of today's inauguration, the song’s lyrics seem a little more poignant now, especially coming from a guy like Jinks.

We've covered the thrash metal vocalist turned country artist before when we premiered his album I'm Not the Devil. And if his start in metal wasn't enough to convince you he's a new breed of country artist, maybe his cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" will.

In light of today's inauguration the song's lyrics seem a little more poignant now, especially coming from a guy like Jinks. "There's a lot of apocalyptic stuff, undertones in different songs," he told Rolling Stone about his latest album. "How the world has just manifested itself into a giant cesspool of shit. I don't like what I see."

Listen to the cover in all it's countryfied, slide guitared glory below.
