Hot Damn, Desert Daze 2018 Adds Slowdive, Wooden Shjips, IDLES, and More

Listen, if you still need convincing to go to Desert Daze at this point, I don't know what to tell you. The SoCal fest already had one of the year's best lineups, a psychedelic smorgasbord featuring My Bloody Valentine, Warpaint, Jarvis Cocker, Tame Impala, Shellac, and a ton more, all at a dang lake in the desert. Now they've managed to up the ante even further.

Today, Noisey is pleased to announce the Phase Four Transmission of Desert Daze 2018, with the additions of none other than Slowdive, Wooden Shjips, IDLES, Cosmonauts, L.A. Witch, and Noisey darlings Goon, plus a bunch more. That's Slowdive and MBV, together, performing in a remote expanse of nature, OK? Get your earplugs and shoegaze feels in order.

In addition to three days and nights of delicious sonic madness, Desert Daze 2018 is convenient! The event includes camping in state park facilities with bathrooms and showers, power and water hookups for RVs, swimming, boat rides, and lounging in an Italian-style beach club. Still to be announced are this year's installation artists, full film schedule, talks, workshops, and the Mystic Bazaar schedule, so stay tuned.

Desert Daze 2018 runs October 12-14 at Moreno Beach, Lake Perris, in Souther California. Weekend tickets and camping passes are on sale now.
