Khalid, as everyone knows, is fucking awesome. Yesterday, his new feature on Billie Eilish's "lovely" came out, but of course, when you're dealing with an artist as productive as Khalid (remember American Teen only came out last year, and we've heard a fair bit of new material since), it's always good to be ready for more. Today he's back with "OTW," which is probably the song that feels most like a head massage you'll hear all week. I'm not kidding.
This is music that was made for hot weather. It evokes the smell of grass and getting sprayed by a sprinkler system, but it's also music that can soundtrack stillness, and the serenity of a warm day. Featuring verses from Ty Dolla $ign and 6lack, while Khalid takes up duties on the relentlessly catchy but also somehow extremely laid back hook (this combination, after all, does seem to be where he thrives as an artist), "OTW" shows off exactly why Khalid's become as quickly beloved as he has. Press play, lean back and sink in above.
