Lady Gaga has cancelled the remainder of her European tour on the advice of her doctors. Gaga, who has fibromyalgia, is "suffering from severe pain that has materially impacted her ability to perform live," according to a statement posted to the singer's Twitter page this morning."Last night, with strong support from her medical team, Lady Gaga made the tough decision to immediately come off the road," the statement continued. "She is extremely sorry and deeply saddened that she cannot perform for her European fans, who have waited so patiently."

Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was due to perform at the O2 Arena in London tonight, before scheduled shows in Denmark, France, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland."I'm so devastated I don't know how to describe it," she wrote in a statement. "All I know is that if I don't do this, I am not standing by the words or meaning of my music."The singer cancelled a date in Rio de Janeiro last September after being taken to hospital, again after experiencing "severe pain."Follow Noisey on Twitter.
