Watch Madonna's Defiant Speech from the Women's March

CNN cut out after she repeatedly shouted, "Fuck you."

Yesterday, 500,000 people took to Washington DC to tell the lecherous little pussy-grabber in the White House that they weren't falling off without a fight. The attendance humiliated the President, whose own inauguration resembled a funeral for an unloved military dictator. It doesn't take much to get under Donald Trump's skin.

With that in mind, Madonna gave a surprise speech in the nation's capital yesterday, addressing the Women's March in her own forthright, acerbic fashion. "Welcome to the revolution of love," she said. "To the rebellion. To our refusal as women to accept this new age of tyranny. Where not just women are in danger, but all marginalized people."

"Revolution of love" is a cutesy, soft-sounding line, but don't let that fool you. Every time that I imagine Madonna in the same room as Donald Trump, and don't ask how often I've thought about it, I see her literally devouring him. "It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us the fuck up," she said, enunciating very carefully and pissing off the cable news networks that had focused in on her. "It seems as though we all slipped into a false sense of comfort, that justice would prevail and that good would prevail in the end. Well, good did not win this election. But good will win in the end. So what today means is that we are far from the end. Today marks the beginning; the beginning of our story. The revolution starts here. The fight for the right to be free, to be who we are, to be equal."

Wait, maybe CNN didn't catch that. "And to our detractors that insist that this march will never add up to anything: Fuck you. Fuck you. It is the beginning of much- needed change. Change that will require sacrifice, people. Change that will require many of us to make different choices in our lives. But this is the hallmark of revolution."

While saying "fuck" on cable news is definitely a good and fun thing, the real star here is the sign language interpreter in the bottom right who has to translate the singer's words into visuals. She giddily throws both middle fingers in the air.

As the Rolling Stone points out, Madonna's repeated fucks forced the networks to abruptly cut her speech off and apologize to their audiences. Which means that the country didn't immediately hear her say. "Yes, I have thought a lot about blowing up the White House. But I know that this won't change anything."

Damned shame.
