Announcing Desert Daze 2018 with Tame Impala, Mercury Rev, Warpaint, and More

The desert psych fest is back for a seventh edition Oct. 12-14 with a new SoCal location and the first phase of this year's lineup.

The psychedelic extravaganza that is Desert Daze is back for a seventh edition of surreal desert jams October 12-14, and today Noisey is pleased to announce the first round of its 2018 lineup, plus a brand new location.

In keeping with its traditionally stacked bookings, Desert Daze 2018 will feature artists including Tame Impala, Mercury Rev performing Deserter's Songs, Warpaint, Malcolm Mooney of Can, Ty Segall and White Fence, and many, many more.

The fest has decamped to a new location at Lake Perris, Calif., nestled between the San Jacinto and San Bernardino mountains in Moreno Valley. The site features a beautiful lake (!) and wildlife, plus RV and tent camping in its state park facilities. There'll even be real showers and restrooms, as well as, according to organizers, an "Italian style beach club with lounging, swimming, sunbathing and boat rides."

General Admission and VIP pass options go on sale Friday, March 30 th at 10 AM PST via
DesertDaze.org. Visitor (or General Admission passes) start at $249. Camping and lodging experiences will also be available for purchase through a new user experience via Eventbrite.
