Chicago rapper Lil Durk has parted ways with Def Jam Recordings, his label of five years, and released a surprise new LP. Just Cause Y'all Waited, the 25-year-old artist's first full-length release since 2016's Lil Durk 2x, features Ty Dolla $ign, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Lil Baby, Gunna, and TK Kravitz. "But I'm a different artist than I was five years ago, and the time is right for a change. At the same time, Def Jam is making changes in their offices and trying a new direction.
