A lot of you A+ Noisey readers recently watched the first episode of our new series Under the Influence, about the music scenes that influence our culture. The first one up: New York hardcore. The episode featured all the NYHC notables—Vinny Stigma, John Joseph, Walter Schreifels. But the most recognizable face didn’t even make an appearance—Rancid’s Tim Armstrong. Tim has the most distinct way of talkin' in all of punk rock. And Tim did not disappoint.
Our next episode is on two-tone-ska was supposed to come out today. But we were like, yo, Tim, you’re narrating this one too, right? And do you want to record some music for it? To both of these questions, he said yes. So obviously, if Tim fucking Armstrong is gonna record original music for our documentary, we’re gonna give him an extra day. So tomorrow.
