Tupac and Robin Williams Arrested for Possession of Cannabis

The two, who have "no apparent relation" to the famous pair, were found with $69,000 worth of weed.

A 21-year-old woman named Robin Williams and a 19-year-old man named Tupac Crum were arrested in Arizona last weekend for possession of cannabis. According to the New York Post, the two, who have "no apparent relation" to the late comedian or the fabled rapper, were arrested along with a third man named Erick Harris after police discovered 114lbs of weed in their vehicle.

That amount is thought to be worth around $69,000.

"Through interagency cooperation and the combination of our resources, we will continue to remove dangerous drugs off the streets," the Post reports Arizona Department of Public Safety Assistant Director Lt. Col. Ken Hunter as saying. "Together we are committed to making communities in Arizona safer through the aggressive enforcement of our state's drug laws."

Arizona is a terrible place to be caught with weed. Despite a measure to legalize the drug in the state being rejected by fewer than three percentage points in November, it still carries some of America's toughest penalties for possession. Anything under 2lbs is considered felony possession, carrying with it a four-month to two-year sentence and a $150,000 maximum fine.
