Tim Westwood Has Shared Two Unreleased Notorious B.I.G. Freestyles

The London DJ continues the celebration of Biggie's legacy.

The hip-hop community collectively celebrated the life and music of the Notorious B.I.G. on the 20th anniversary of his death last week. Fans shared their favorite tracks, Diddy encouraged fans to send their favorite Biggie verses, and even New York congressman Hakeem Jeffries honored him on the House floor. For the anniversary, British DJ Tim Westwood gave one of the best gifts a fan could ask for: unreleased music. Westwood has shared two previously unheard B.I.G. freestyles.

The video was shared to YouTube on March 9—the actual anniversary of Biggie's death—but it's still a must-listen. The first freestyle is a back-and-forth with former Bad Boy rapper Craig Mack from 1995. The second is from Biggie's visit to London to promote his sophomore album, Life After Death. Hopefully, Westwood has more unheard gems of our favorite rap heroes that we'll hear soon. Listen to both freestyles below.
