thefame's "Contradictions (VILLAROSA)" Will Suck You into a Black Hole of Rap

You've officially been chopped-and-screwed.

The manner in which New Jersey rapper thefame appears on the artwork for his single "Contradictions (VILLAROSA)," his face smeared into an indistinct paste, more or less sums up what it's like to listen to the song itself. Highlighted by ridiculously dense and swampy production from Tallen and thefame himself, "Contradictions" recasts the self-confidence that thefame displays throughout it as a march, as slow and inevitable as the squelching guitars and lumbering drums that guide him onward.

"The whole message behind this song is that I am ready to make my mark in this game and I will achieve just that, whatever it takes," the fame told Noisey over email. "With all of my flaws and contradictions, I will not care about anyone who is trying to see me fail because I will prove them wrong. " Stream "Contradictions (VILLAROSA)" below.
