White Denim's New Video for "Holda You (I'm Psycho)" Is a Work of Air Guitar Mastery

The explosive Austin rock crew return with new album, 'Stiff,' and this video, which stars US Air Guitar World Champ Michael “Operation Rock a Pussy” Lovely.

White Denim. LOLing in the woods.

White Denim have always taken themselves just seriously enough—whether going all out 70s prom-tastic in the video for sensi-ballad "Street Joy" or having their faces plastered with soggy toilet roll, 'cos why not? So yeah, not very seriously at all. That's not to say the Austin quartet aren't exceptionally serious about their music. With their seventh album Stiff dropping this Spring, yesterday the band debuted first single "Holda You (I'm Psycho)"—a gnarly slice of melodic riff-rock with some good-time Lynyrd Skynyrd-vibes running straight through it. We're premiering the video for said single below, which stars Michael “Operation Rock a Pussy” Lovely, third place winner in this year’s US Air Guitar World Championship. He workswhite denim with insouciant dad bod aplomb while air guitaring all over the world—in the outback, near an crocodile, on the moon, balance atop the back of a flying eagle, natch. "I've always loved air guitar," explains White Denim's Steve Terebecki. "I came in second in the Austin Air guitar championships, so I was excited to get a real professional.” Flex those fingers and rock on.

Stiff is out on March 25 on .
