What Beef? Krist Novoselic Played "Sweet Child O' Mine" On Accordion with Duff McKagan

What gives? Guns N' Roses and Nirvana are supposed to hate each other!

Remember back in the early 90s when Nirvana and Guns N' Roses fucking hated each others' guts? It was inescapable, both bands hurling insults back at each other, harassing each other backstage, it was incredible. It represented everything about popular music at the time; the burgeoning alternative of the early 90's scene versus the holdover dominance of hair-metal from the late 80's. It was more than the egos of two of the biggest stars in the world, it was about a culture shift. So, fastforward to 2015 and Krist Novoselic is playing a cover of "Sweet Child O' Mine" on accordian with former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagen.

So, what the hell happened? It looks like Krist is probably taking the piss out of the song, being on accordian and all, but it's still a super bizarre sight to see, considering all the words the bands have flung back and forth. Even recently in Montage of Heck you can hear Krist saying how terrible Guns N' Roses were. So is the beef squashed between the two now? Will we maybe see Axl Rose play a glammed up version of "Something in the Way?" Time will tell. Until then, check out the video below and a couple others demonstrating the feud back in the day.
