Ice Balloons

—who feature Kyp Malone of TV on the Radio—return with "Hole in the Ground," a squally, reverb heavy racket that sounds like 1200 glass planets shattering while a garage punk band plays on a strip of tarmac as Mad Max-style denizens drag race around them.

Which, come to think of it, is kind of a cool premise for a video. Nevertheless, Lessa Millet, who is the creative brain behind this premiere above, had her own excellent ideas. She scanned pictures from an old Bruce Lee Kung Fu book and turned them into flickering, scribbled-on gifs, and the effect is stop-start awesome.

If you're anywhere near NYC, go catch Ice Balloons live later this month.
