You’re probably getting paid minimum wage, and then you have hairnets, creepy coworkers, and a locked up alien monster made of flowers to deal with. Go ahead, read that sentence again. Clearly nobody can work in conditions like these, a factory coup is surely in order. The video is straight outta the uncanny valley, but it gets an A+ on the originality front.The Brooklyn-based band mixes dynamics with studied aplomb: pounding drums, warped synth scratches, and a bold horn section are wedded to singer Kalmia Traver’s conversational, lilting singing style, which altogether create the perfect soundtrack for these surreal escapades.
