It's a seizure, it's an exorcism, and Lorde doesn't give a flying fuck what you think.

I'm not sure when it happened, but at some point people got a bit sick of Lorde. As with Lana, the tides turned from her being the BEST THING IN THE WORLD EVER AND OMG SHE'S SO YOUNG AND HER LYRICS ARE SO ASTUTE, to hating on her love of dark lipstick and her crazed witchy dance moves.

I'm faithful though. I think Lorde is the bomb and her new video for this Hunger Games track is tight—velvety, dark, and sly, with a chorus that clobbers the listener with awesome.

Several things about this video make it top notch. This Katharine Hepburn look for one, and just the general menswear vibe throughout. It's all about that wide-legged, cropped blazer, flame-red pantsuit. This is Lorde 2.0.

I love the way she dances. It's a seizure, it's an exorcism, and Lorde doesn't give a flying fuck what you think.

Additionally there's a total Twin Peaks meets The Shining vibe to this video. Look at this still below. So Jack Torrance.

Last note: this is how you wait for a bus.
