Superchunk - "Driveway to Driveway"
I listened to this and it sent me into an emo spiral which involved playing Something to Write Home About by The Get Up Kids three times in a row, before swaying to Buffalo Tom's "Late at Night" (note: this link is actually a My So-Called Life fan-made montage, soundtracked by BT, because obviously Angela and Jordan's love story is way better to watch than any of the band's actual videos). Seems like someone's feeling sentimental for something. If you dreamed up the vocal for a sweet but seriously geeky dude who unwittingly friendzoned his love interests right through to his mid-20s, it would sound like the reedy, yearning timbre of Superchunk's Mac McCaughan.
