So, Bonnaroo Loves Rap Music Now: Kanye West, Ice Cube, Lauryn Hill, and More to Play the Festival

Frank Ocean, Chance the Rapper, A$AP Ferg, Danny Brown, Pusha T, and more will also sweat to death in the Tennessee heat.

Every June, thousands upon thousands of upon thousands of drunk and high music fans wearing too much facepaint and not enough clothes ascend on the fields of Manchester, Tennesse to get even more drunk and even more high and wear even less clothes while they listen to a bunch of good music at Bonnaroo. Traditionally, the festival hasn't featured too much variety outside of those who know the words to every Dave song (and those who know what band "Dave" is), but this year, shouts to the festival programmers for widening their scope.

Even though dude showed up almost eight hours late for his last Bonnaroo performance—the nice folks have welcomed back Kanye West. Alongside Elton John and Jack White, he'll headline.

Of course, my immediate response to this is, holy shit, Elton John and Kanye West are going to do "All of the Lights" together. But what's more is the programmers have apparently been reading a lot of Noisey, because on top of Yeezy, some of our favorite rappers will be taking the stage, like Ice Cube, Lauryn Hill, Pusha T, A$AP Ferg, Danny Brown, and Chance the Rapper.

See the full list of performers below, and to celebrate this wonderful occasion of Kanye's return, here's a playlist of the set at the Yeezus tour's recent Prudential Center stop.

Tickets for the festival, which runs June 12-15, are on sale Saturday, February 22 at noon EST via bonnaroo.com.
