The Desert Rock of Death Valley Girls Will Take You on a "Death Valley Boogie"

Dig in and find rock riffs that date back to the Manson murders.

Bonnie Wandgarden is dangerously clever. The LA rocker has packed her five-piece psych-rock band Death Valley Girls with so much grit that it's basically a fossil; dig in and find rock riffs that date back to the Manson murders. But like the twinkle in the eye of a cult leader, there's something glamorous about Death Valley Girls. Wangarden's voice is feral yet feminine, as though coming from the decapitated head of a valley girl on her way to see Zeppelin. If revving classic rock is a valley of death, here's a band that's drank the kool-aid.
