Listen to the First Song from Kitten Forever's New Album, '7 Hearts'

The instrument-swappin’, telephone-screamin’, Beyoncé-supportin’ three-piece is ushering in a new wave of Midwestern riot grrrl.

Earlier this year, we were perusing our number one source for hot new bands, Minnesota public television, and we found this sweet mini-doc on the band Kitten Forever, the instrument-swappin’, telephone-screamin’, Beyoncé-supportin’ three-piece ushering in a new wave of Midwestern riot grrrl.

Now, the band is readying the release of their third full-length, 7 Hearts, which hits that sweet spot between friendship and feminism. The album smashes 15 songs into less than 30 minutes. The album’s first single “Temple” is a great example of the band’s stripped-down, no-bullshit style. It’s loud and punishing but simple enough that you’ll be singing along by the second listen.

Listen to “Temple” below. 7 Hearts is out next year from Atlas Chair. Catch the band later this month on tour with Babes in Toyland. Dates below. And as always, Kitten Forever forever.
