Ralo Premieres "I Hope It Don't" Featuring 21 Savage and Jefe

The Atlanta rapper brings the heat with 21 and DC's Jefe, formerly known as Shy Glizzy.

Ralo is on a hell of a streak right now. A few months ago we talked to him ahead of the release of his slapper "My Brothers" featuring Future off his Diary of the Streets II mixtape. Since then, he's has had an interesting few months, releasing more quality music and creating a stir with his (ill advised but weirdly thoughtful(?)) method of giving back to the homeless in his city. Here he is yet again with another stunner of a song, "I Hope It Don't," produced by another trap up and comer Cassius Jay. Following in the steps of some of the major features he's had this year including the aforementioned Future and Lil Yachty, "I Hope It Don't" sees Ralo teaming up once again with 21 Savage and DC's Jefe, the artist formerly known as Shy Glizzy, for an aggressive anthem about never letting anyone treat you like anything less than the pillar of excellence you are.

21 and Jefe balance out Ralo's high-pitched delivery with their raspy inflections. 21's signature "you wouldn't survive a day in my world" bars ("Remember middle school man they told me crack kills/Nigga fuck that crack pays bills") and Jefe's nimble flow ("Trapper turned rapper, yeah I really used to cook hard/We can have a cook off, nigga you just look hard.") shine on Cassius's consumingly haunting trap composition. But it's Ralo who sets the tone in the first verse, immediately grabbing your attention with declarations of "I'm the little nigga who always stood up to the bullies" and "We gon' shoot everything them niggas said we couldn't." All in all, the track is yet another example of how the young man from The Bluff is one to continue to keep an eye on as he improves with every piece of work he puts out.

Of the song, Ralo says: "My boy 21 Savage and I were in the studio one night and we came up with this record. I called my brother Shy Glizzy later to jump on it. I've worked with both of them separately, but I wanted to put two artists together that my fans and their fans wouldn't expect to hear together."

"I Hope It Don't Jam" is the final single off Ralo's Famerican Gangster 2, which drops February 12 (the day he turns 22, happy early birthday, bruh, if you're reading this). Stream below and keep an eye out for the tape in a few days.
