PREMIERE: Watch Kate Boy's Video for "Midnight Sun"

The Aussie-Swedish trio return with more flinty synth-pop and a totally awesome, totally unwearable coat.

Hello Kate Boy! Give us a hug! We were hot on this trio's tail back in 2013 when they released a string of tantalizing singles… and then it all went a bit quiet, apart from a few songs here and there. But now their debut album, ONE, is locked and loaded and ready to drop this November via Fiction/Island/Iamsound. Above is the premiere of the video for "Midnight Sun"—the first taster from said album, which features their trademark flinty beats and propulsive pop hooks.

Directed by the band and filmed in Sweden in Kate's apartment, it's a pretty minimalist visual, centering around Kate dancing her socks off. Her interpretive moves are further highlighted by the most dramatic, pillowy, Japanese-style coat we've ever seen. (And that's thanks to Swedish label BY THE NO.) Very Kabuki-cool.

According to the band, "'Midnight Sun' is about summer days that never end and also a metaphor for meeting in the middle and accepting each other for who we are."

Thanks Kate Boy, and hey, November! Hurry up.
