Noisey Beats 1: Indie Luminary Tim Kinsella, LA Rapper Speak, and More

Plus a mix featuring upcoming music from 'NOISEY Detroit.'

This week on episode 40 of Noisey Radio on Beats 1, we're bringing you both the legendary and the up and coming with segments on indie luminary Tim Kinsella and hotshot rapstar Speak. But before that, we kick off with a mix featuring songs from our upcoming episode of NOISEY Detroit on VICELAND (Tuesday at 10 PM EST), and also features rap's incomporable duo of Jaylib and Virginia's own golden voiced' D.R.A.M (who sets sail with Lil Yachty). Then we have hardcore all-stars Youth of Today before simmering down with A.Chal, before a world premiere from New York producer Slam Skillet—rounding the intro off with Drake and the high speed rhymes of Rocks Foe.

Our first segment of the show, we talk to legendary sad guy Tim Kinsella about the release of his newest upcoming Joan of Arc record, out this summer on Joyful Noise records. He'll be on the show to speak about what he put into the record, as well as play songs by artists like Ennio Morricone and Craig Leon who inspired the cinematic nature of the record.

We'll also be checking in with Speak, a rapper connecting Los Angeles and Mexico City through the bridge and power of his music. His voice flies at a rapid speed over rich and tactile beats. He'll be dropping two brand new songs on the show, including "I Get Down" which features Colin Caulfield.

Stream Noisey on Beats 1 right here on Saturday morning at 9 AM EST / 6 AM PST and again on Sunday night at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.
