Meek Mill Reportedly Sentenced to 2-4 Years in Prison for Parole Violations

The Philadelphia rapper's sentence follows two recent arrests.

Meek Mill has been sentenced to two to four years in prison for violations of his probation, according to reports from Philly.com. Per the report, Meek went to court today following two recent arrests—a March fight at an airport in St. Louis, and an August reckless driving charge in New York. The former charge was dropped after he agreed to perform community service; TMZ reported that he accepted a plea deal for the latter that would allow it to be wiped from his record after six months if he didn't get any further legal trouble. A judge reportedly decided those events constituted a violation of his probation for a 2008 drug and gun conviction. In 2014, he was sentenced to three to six months in jail for another violation and his probation was extended by nearly a decade. Then in February of 2016, Meek was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest for a violation of his parole.
