Sampha's Short Film "Process" Will Emotionally Destroy You

It's streaming now—or if you're in New York or London, you can attend special screenings over the next two weeks.

Sampha is determined to destroy all of us emotionally isn't he? That is what is happening here. Not content with releasing what is sure to stand up as one of the most sensitive and relatably introspective albums of 2017 in Process, he has also enlisted filmmaker to the stars Kahlil Joseph, whose previous projects include Beyoncé's Lemonade and m.A.A.d., a short film set to songs from Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d city, to create a short film of the same title.

Process (the movie), which was shot in South London and Freetown, and is described as "a simple love letter from a son to his mother," is now available to stream via Apple Music. If you're not an Apple Music subscriber, or you just like to do things for the 'gram (I fit into the latter category), then I have excellent news for you. Clips from the film will be screened in special locations in London and New York over the next two weeks, because what's the point in anything if you can't tell other people you're doing it?

See locations and watch a clip of the film, uploaded to Sampha's Instagram, below:

Wallscape Projections (31st March, 1st April, 7th April, and 14th April)
Brooklyn, NY: North 7th & Bedford (7:30pm – 12:30am)
London: Shoreditch High Street Station & Brick Lane (7:40pm – 12:40am)
