Jessie Ware has followed up her first single in two years with another new song, "Selfish Love." It's a more sultry affair, ditching the tension or soulful stomp of "Midnight" in favor of an smoldering slow samba. The melody seems to be a reworking or Moloko's 1998 dance-pop hit "Sing It Back" and the lyrics are all Lana Del Rey-esque: "Baby now it feels like we're dancing / Touching bullets, now ain't that romantic?," Ware sings.
The track's accompanying video is the prequel to "Midnight"'s cinematic Mediterranean drama and you can watch it at the top of the page.
