Chance the Rapper Celebrates His Grammy Nominations With a Party in Chicago

"Tonight was the winning night"

The nominations for the 59th Grammy Awards came out yesterday, and Chance the Rapper is up for seven awards, including Best New Artist and Best Rap Album for Coloring Book. The rapper spent last night in his hometown of Chicago celebrating in front of a crowd of family and friends, and the way he tells it, regardless of the outcome, he feels like he's already won.

In a video taken by Fake Shore Drive's Andrew Barber, Chance said to the crowd:

"I don't plan on waiting until February to figure out if I won or lost. I decided tonight that, because I'm surrounded by my best friends, by my family, that tonight was the winning night."

Chance's seven nomination for Coloring Book is the first time a streaming-only album received a Grammy nomination. Check out the video below.
