The xx Go Full VHS for "Say Something Loving" Video

The clip's also a tribute to their hometown of London and to love of all kinds.

The xx's self-titled debut album was so ahead of its time that the band itself had some trouble catching up to it, but regardless, it hinted at the UK trio's abilities to navigate the fourth dimension at will. Okay, maybe they can't actually time travel, but there are certainly many time periods being visited in the band's new video for I See You cut "Say Something Loving."

Much of the clip finds the band playing in a blue void as the image resolution keeps degrading, Tim & Eric-style, to VHS quality. There are also similarly retro-filtered shots of London scenery and various couples making out, which seems to be a theme this year. You can watch the "Say Something Loving" video below.
