First Listen: Get Your Sweat On With Spodee Boy’s Punk Weirdness

The Nashville resident continues his quest to change the Country Music capital to Weird Ass Punk capital.

With the Predators losing the NHL Stanley Cup over the weekend you'd expect that many in the city of Nashville are pretty bummed this week. Though the typical Nashville hockey fan is probably more into the music of Trace Adkins than they are busted and munted punk rock, Nashville resident Connor Cummins, aka Spodee Boy, is here to cheer up dejected Preds fans with his new track "Sweatin'".

Taken from his new five-song tape Red State, the song is a hot blasted mess of noisey punk and rips like a slap shot to the throat. No doubt there are some early Devo and Chrome records in Mr. Spodee Boy's collection as well as some more modern stuff such as Lumpy and the Dumpers.

With an upcoming split 7" with fellow Nashville teen-punks Datenight things keep chugging for the Spodee Boy. Try and keep up if you can.

'Red State' is available June 30 on Drop Medium.
