Get Loose to the Louche Psych of Don Loudo's "The Lizard"

Here's a London-based noob whose bass lines will make your limbs do funny things.

Don Loudo—pronounced Loud-o—is the music moniker for one William Leo Stamps a director and guitarist / drummer who has been known to dilly dally around with fellow London-based one man band NZCA / LINES, so you know he's in excellent company. Premiering below is "The Lizard," the first track lifted from his self-titled debut EP and his first foray into the world of solo music making. It's really rather marvelous, with a bass line bendy like Gumby and warped top line offset by glorious disco-soul falsettos. Then there's a percussive middle eight, a colossal, clattering segue to the finale. If you dig Zappa, La Priest,Talking Heads, and early Metronomythen you'll be feeling this celebratory wig out, the genesis of which was born on the Day of the Dead in 2014, in a Shaman's villa overlooking the city of San Christobal, Mexico. Nice for some!

"'The Lizard' is the opener to my first EP and gives a good intro my vibe," explains Stamps. "It's a psychedelic journey to a strange and sunny place where you can dance all night like no one's watching."
