Key! Knows His Worth on His New "Kelly Price Freestyle"

The Atlanta rapper gears up to release his new '777' album.

Key! has been one of Atlanta's more consistently versatile artists for the better part of this decade. His penchant for smooth melody over trap production was a quality initially set him apart from peers, but now those Auto-Tuned harmonies have become a staple in rap over the past few years. As that transformation has taken place, Key!'s expanded his sound, working with local artists like Two-9 and 21 Savage, and more recently linking up with A$AP Mob for a national tour. Now, the Atlanta veteran is gearing up to release his most refined music to date.

On May 4, Key! will be releasing an album called 777, a project fully produced by Kenny Beats, which he says is his most mature music yet. At the beginning of April, he dropped the project's lead single "Hater," which calls out his biggest adversaries. In the video, he and A$AP Rocky bounce in Rocky's New York kitchen and bullshit around at nearby bodegas. Today, we're premiering the newest 777 single, "Kelly Price Freestyle." The song doesn't sample the R&B singer it's named after like you may expect. Instead, it's a light and bouncy tune that warns potential investors that the cost of working together will be soaring soon. Listen to the song below and pre-order 777 here.
