Rejoice... Sky Ferreira Says New Music is Coming "Very Soon"

Save for a touching appearance both in, and on the soundtrack of, Edgar Wright's movie Baby Driver, Sky Ferreira has been quiet for a moment. However, late last night (US time, that is), the elusive singer finally shared an update of what we can expect from her in the months to come.

She stated that new music will be coming "very soon," and cited the reason for her absence as a long, initially misdiagnosed illness from which she's now recovering: "I have to get completely better so I can tour & actually promote it," she said via Twitter, referring to the release of new tunes.

She also pointedly, but indirectly, referenced the fact that she feels as though other, potentially newer artists are copying her style, noting that "certain people will be forced to come up with their own identity & creative vision" once she re-emerges with full force.

It's very exciting news from one of pop's most interesting and inventive voices: here's to a moody, red-skied 2018, ruled by Sky Ferreira.
