Hey, You! Come Watch Noisey's New 'Don't Call It Road Rap' Doc

We'll be holding the film's world premiere, hosted by Mike Skinner, on Tuesday, June 13.

Not sure if you were aware, but we're in the business of making films here at Noisey. We've followed Skepta through the triumph of a North American tour in Top Boy, met the unexpected stars of Blackpool grime and had Mike Skinner investigate rap as political resistance in Palestine and Israel in Hip-Hop in the Holy Land. Our latest documentary – Don't Call It Road Rap – will premiere at north London's Screen on the Green on Tuesday 13 June as part of the Everyman Music Film Festival.

The film sees host Mike Skinner meet with a number of players on the UK scene's harder end. Featuring appearances from a load of acts in the scene – based in London and beyond – the doc is a reflection of what the term "road rap" means right now, and we can't wait to share it. The premiere will be followed by a Q&A with Skinner and the filmmakers and some of the artists involved, as well as an afterparty. So basically what we're saying is: we're having a party and we want you to come. Tickets are available from DICE and Screen on the Green directly, and are £5, so there's no excuse to stay away.
