Get Your T-Shirts and Divination Scrolls Out, Tool Are Going on Tour for the First Time in a Bit

They waited five years—almost as long as the length of one of their own songs—to come back to Canada.

Prog-heads rejoice, Tool have returned from their extradimensional voyages to give us the gift of their corporeal presences playing music. The California art-metal sages are embarking upon an all-too-brief journey across the northeast of North America in May and June, per their official Facebook page. The new tour joins their previously announced headlining dates at the Governor's Ball and Boston Calling festivals. It also seems to be a continuation of the "sonic and visual experience" the band took to the Southwest US and other spots in 2016.

What's most exciting is their return to Canada (no Toronto dates, sadly) after a nearly five-year absence, with their last show here being in London, Ontario in 2012. Tool are playing Hamilton, Ontario this time around, which makes too much sense given that it's called Hammertown and hammers are tools… This is all to say we're still waiting on the album, dudes. You can check out the whole run of dates below.
