Let This Video of Moses Sumney Playing "Doomed" Shake Your Foundations

He's shared the intimate performance to mark the announcement of his debut album, due September 22.

Moses Sumney has already made a name for himself as a giant of a live performer, so it makes sense that he'd release a video of him playing recent single "Doomed" alongside the announcement of his very first album, Aromanticism, which we can expect on September 22.

Sumney will release Aromanticism—described as "a concept album about lovelessness as a sonic dreamscape," which sounds completely wonderful, and "seeks to interrogate the social constructions around romance"—via Jagjagwar. It'll include "Doomed" as well as updated versions of the older tracks "Lonely World" and "Plastic," and for this reason you should prepare yourself for a number of emotional epiphanies around the end of September. In the meantime, watch the performance of "Doomed," filmed at Sydney, Australia's St. Stephen's Uniting Church, above (and if you're an especially big fan, you can listen to the set that it comes from this Wednesday, July 11, here at 1 AM EST/6 AM GMT).
