Blast the Shit Out of This Song from Nashville Fuzz Punks, Bully

Because it's fast, it's loud, and it rules.

Led by guitar and vocal aficionado Alicia Bognanno, Nashville-bred fuzz punks Bully possesses an unbridled fervor evident upon first listen. Arriving to the scene during the height of nostalgia-laden revivalists, it is the combination of Bognanno’s arresting bellow atop massive guitar sounds that sets them miles ahead of your boilerplate garage rockers.

On "Milkman," the lead single from a forthcoming, self-released EP, the formula hasn’t changed but the energy has elevated ten-fold. More polished and well-crafted than previous efforts, one can only hope this is the sound we’ll find on a debut LP. Perhaps the fact that Bognanno has been behind the boards of studios in clubs in Nashville for the past couple of years aided in getting such a weighty recording. Finishing at just over the two-minute mark, it manages to encapsulate everything that Bully does so well. Drawing heavily from both pop-punk and 90s alternative/grunge, they manage to never lean too heavily towards either, occupying a well-balanced space that is entirely their own. Increasingly difficult to not fall victim to "it’s nothing new" scrutiny, Bully come out triumphant and they come out LOUD.
