Suddenly Woke Lana Del Rey Joins Effort to Diminish Trump’s Powers Through Witchcraft

The singer supports the effort to bind Donald Trump and all those who abet him.

Lana Del Rey is suddenly woke. How woke exactly, nobody can be sure. Katy Perry woke? Perhaps. Prodigy levels of woke? It's possible. We do know that yesterday morning, Del Rey called in to Jo Whiley's show on BBC Radio 1 to talk about the making of her forthcoming LP. There, Del Rey said that it was impossible to ignore politics, per Pitchfork: "As the climate kept on getting more heated politically, I found, like, lyrically everything was just directed towards that, so because of that, the sound just got really updated, and I felt like it was more wanting to, like, talk to the younger side of the audience I have. I guess it's just a little more socially aware. That's kind of a global feeling."

But where other artists might take this newfound social awareness and channel it into a song or a tweet Lana Del Rey has different ideas.

That photograph, paired with those dates, had certain corners of the internet wondering if Del Rey was actively promoting witchcraft in an attempt to diminish Donald Trump's powers. It seemed absurd. And then Del Rey's publicist confirmed the whole thing to Pitchfork. Turns out, that's exactly what she was doing. Lana Del Rey is promoting the mass ritual to bind Donald Trump and all who abet him.

The simple way of putting this, if such a thing exists, is that those four dates that Del Rey tweeted out align with the lunar calendar's "waning crescent moon ritual dates." Many in the witchcraft community are taking those opportunities, starting with a mass ritual last night, to cast a spell on the President. Read the precise details here, if you want to prepare for the second event.

In the meantime, let us all marvel at Lana Del Rey, who is definitely going to make this album cycle interesting.
