Lorde Brings In ‘Melodrama’ With “Perfect Places” Performance on ‘Fallon’

She performed her second album's closer to an extremely mustachioed host.

Lorde's second album, Melodrama, is now officially out. If you've found the time to listen to it between the new Young Thug project and a host of new singles this morning, you'll know that it's a gorgeous cinematic pop record that pushes the New Zealand singer's idiosyncratic talents to the front, never wincing from its own emotions or growing pains.

To celebrate the album's release, Lorde was the musical guest on last night's Fallon, performing closer "Perfect Places." Yes, that's a mustache on Fallon's face, but I promise that it's worth pushing through those eight seconds. She pulled off the theatrics of the song without the need for outside embellishments—save for a few sprigs of baby's breath around the back of her head like a pagan halo.
