News of Rae Sremmurd's Sr3mm coming this month has been some of the most exciting pieces of rap information this year. The album will be three-in-one, consisting of solo projects from Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, and one joint project. If you haven't seen Swae Lee's hilariously confusing breakdown of the project, it's highly recommended.

Today, the duo dropped off the album's newest single "Close" with Zane Lowe on World Record. The song features Travis Scott, with an infectiously dismissive hook. "You're too c-l-o-s-e to me," Swae sings. The song feels slightly claustrophobic as the guys detail a relationship that is way too stifling. "Travis Scott did his thing for sure man. Swae Lee came through with the crazy melodies, then I came through with the crazy verse," Slim Jxmmi said on a call with Zane. "'Close' is one of those songs—gave me like an 80s vibe."

At the beginning of March, Rae Sremmurd shared three new songs from the album including two solo records and a collaboration with Juicy J called “Powerglide," which continued Three 6 Mafia's streak of having old hits being resurrected in 2018. Listen to "Close" below.
