Cardi B and Migos Go Hard on New Track "Drip"

Offset, Quavo and Takeoff join Bardi for another new track from her debut album 'Invasion of Privacy.'

Cardi’s on a roll this week –– after releasing the excellent Petra Collins-directed video for “Bartier Cardi” yesterday, she’s dropped a new track today featuring her frequent collaborators Migos. The fourth cut we’ve heard from Cardi's debut album Invasion of Privacy, “Drip” makes a meal out of some pretty standard Migos trap. It wouldn’t sound completely out of place on Culture II, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you felt about that album. "Drip" is Migos and Cardi's latest collab after "MotorSport," which featured Nicki Minaj.

Even though it’s pretty standard Migos fare, it’s always exciting to hear a new Cardi verse! After the surprising gut-punch of “Be Careful,” released last week, “Drip” is a return to the hard-as-nails Cardi that we’re used to. She only has one verse, but she makes good use of it, boasting about how she has to stay out of Gucci because there’s not enough space in her closet. Not the most relatable of problems, but I’m always happy to hear about Cardi’s success and I’m thrilled to hear she’s doing well.

Listen to “Drip (feat. Migos)” below. Invasion of Privacy is out this Friday.
