Heading to SXSW? RSVP to Our First Jansport Bonfire Session of the Year Featuring Kurt Vile, Cloud Nothings, and More

Let's sweat together and listen to guitars.

Don't miss the first show of the year in our Jansport Bonfire Session event series, when we take over SXSW on March 12 with the help of Kurt Vile, Cloud Nothings, The Orwells, and Gardens & Villa at Cheer Up Charlies in Austin. After this brutal winter, we're already excited for the Texas heat—and more specifically, listening to guitars while sweating.

Kurt Vile
Philadelphia's Kurt Vile is timeless. With his mop of long hair, the singer-songwriter makes hazy, jangly, understated music that will make every mood feel like it's the best version of that mood. His most recent album, Wakin on a Pretty Daze, was one of 2013's best, and you'll be humming it for the rest of your day.

Cloud Nothings
Cleveland, Ohio doesn't have a lot—but that doesn't matter, because it gave us Drew Carey and Cloud Nothings. The garage band just released Here and Nowhere Else, their fourth record, and it's so loud and awesome that the only appropriate action while listening is throwing yourself through a brick wall. Read our recent interview.

The Orwells
The Orwells come from a far away land called the Midwest, and like all bands that come from the middle of nowhere, these guys are great—and emotional. Channeling some classic guitar vibes, the feel more like the Doors than you'll admit. Who said long hair couldn't be cool in the year 2014?

Gardens & Villas
Sometimes, you just wanna lay back in the grass, feel the sun on your face, and listen to indie rock. California's Gardens & Villas will provide the perfect soundtrack for you. Their second album, Dunes, just released and is a charming little getaway that will be perfect for the summertime.

The event is 21+ and you have to RSVP here to attend. You'll receive an email update with details on transportation and where you'll need to be to get your wristband to the event. Remember, an RSVP doesn't guarantee admission, so you'll need to arrive early to ensure you're spot at the show. See you there!
