Listen to LODRO Cover Townes Van Zandt's "Snake Song"

This is a hauntingly beautiful song from a hauntingly beautiful band.

Madeline Allard

LODRO's grimy psych-pop might seem a bit different than the smoke-filled lungs of Townes Van Zandt on the surface, but once you give a listen to the haunting Brooklyn trio—made of former Royal Baths members Jeremy Cox and Jigmae Baer and former Friends bassist Lesley Hann—cover of "Snake Song," which we're premiering below, you'll realize that everything makes sense in the world. The track comes from their debut 7", out today. And if you happen to find yourself in the streets of Brooklyn, catch them tonight at 285 Kent performing with Nothing (another band you should be paying attention to). Until then though, crank this up, and let the melodic eerie voice of Hann carry you through the day.
