The Newtown Sessions is a new bi-weekly in-studio series, brought to Noisey by our friends over at Newtown Radio, the Brooklyn-based online radio station.

Brooklyn indie-popsters Oberhofer are known for killing it live, so they had no problem delivering an inspired and heartfelt performance recently on Newtown Radio.

Brad Oberhofer, the frontman of the band, has graciously earned praise for his unique pop sound: a sophisticated blend of carefully constructed melodies bursting from a wall of sound, with range and depth seldom found in a live performance.

Drawing on philosophical and emotional subjects such as love and youth, Oberhofer creates monuments out of time, the nuances of sound are his building materials. Appropriately, his first album is titled, "Time Capsules II" and contains many of the songs Oberhofer played for this recent session.

Watch here as Oberhofer performs "oOooO," "Away Frm You," and "Heart."
