Chelsea Wolfe Is Still the Darkest Horse

The drone-folk songwriter releases a second cut from her forthcoming LP.

No matter how you try and classify Chelsea Wolfe, she's still the darkest horse in the race. That's because the intrepid L.A. songwriter subscribes to absolutely no rules and likes it that way. Her one prevailing dogma? Pain Is Beauty. Wolfe's ironclad approach to folk-spirited post-goth comes in greivous blows that strike like falling anvilles. With nods to both industrial clamor and dare I say dub-step, Chelsea Wolfe is carving quite the cavernous niche. "Carrion Flower," the second single from her forthcoming LP Abyss.

Be sure to catch her on tour with alternative country outfit Wovenhand before Abyss comes out August 7th from Sargent House.
