Listen to Gyptian's New Mixtape "Sex, Love, and Reggae"

Gyptian's planting his flag firmly in Camp Reggae at the moment.

Gyptian's always been a bit of an odd bird in dancehall's recent surge in popularity in America. Though his single "Hold Yuh" is easily one of the most popular crossover dancehall singles—due in no small part to its two remixes, one of which features Nicki Minaj rapping in patois and another which is amongst Major Lazer's finest work—it's a bit of a red herring in the context of Gyptian's robust discography, which finds dude hopping from reggae to dub to dancehall pretty much at will, just because he's that good. His newest mixtape Sex, Love, and Reggae finds him planting his flag firmly in the Reggae department as he sets the mood for his upcoming album of the same name, due out on VP Records on October 29th.
