Transatlantic Grunge Punks Pale Angels Are Back with a New Seven-Inch

Three new songs and a cover. Hell yeah.

Last year, we discovered the transcontinental fuzz project Pale Angels, featuring none other than everyone’s favorite pop punk virtuoso, Mikey Erg. The trio’s debut, Primal Play, was a wonderfully obnoxious grunge throwback full of reverbed squeals and fuzz. They’re currently working on a follow up LP—eventually. As quickly as a bunch of dudes who live across the Atlantic can work on an album, anyway. In the meantime, they’ve put together this four-song EP, Strange Powers. It’s a live session—three songs plus a cover of the Feelies’ “Crazy Rhythms.” Maybe their best stuff yet.
